The logistic key figures usually regularly targeted are worlds apart from the logistics controlling system, the way viaLog understands it.The controlling of output and productivity is fundemental:
- Initially we identify key dimensions for each area of the warehouse, for example: Containers for incoming goods, transportation orders for internal traffic, orderliness for consignments.
- Secondly input templates will be created, for instance, for quantities, net staffing, quality levels. Then for all quantities the source of data will be stated.
- Finally the reporting system will be determined for all levels of the business:
- in terms of hours, days, weeks, months and / or years.
- in terms of quantities, staffing and productivity
- in terms or the actual and intended performance levels.
 The decisive issue here is the analysis of productivity for all processes, for example: number of containers per employee per hour. The planning and constant monitoring of these key figures is – in viaLog`s view - crucial to optimise logistics.
