A general planner organises all necessary phases for the implementation of a project.

This means, for example, that for a new logistics centre, all the planning work, from identifying a strategy through to the actual operation, and the organisation of building and machinery (construction, internal technology, logistics technology, IT-hardware / software) can be placed in the hands of viaLog.

A general contractor (for example, a building contractor) does not plan, but instead builds at his own cost. His competence depends upon the integration of numerous sub-contractors and, in turn, their respective building abilities. Many general contractors provide only a very small percentage of the overall investment themselves.
